More cards with the November Scrap'n With Flair Kit and Sew Ribbon

Hey Everyone,
I have created 3 more cards using the Scrap'n With Flair November kit.  There are a few more kits left so if you are interested in purchasing one, you can do that here.

I purchased the Sew Easy tool, from Scrap'n With Flair, a while back and have finally created something with it.  I used the burst sew easy attachment, which looks like snowflakes to me, on this card.  You can create many different designs with each sew easy attachment and as the name says, it is "sew easy" to use.

You can purchase this awesome tool and all the different attachments at Scrap'n With Flair.  These items are currently on sale for the 1 Year Anniversary Sale and from what I have heard, they are selling out quickly.

The next 2 cards I created using the Sew Ribbon tool which just arrived.  After playing with this new tool, I absolutely LOVE it!!!  I used the Leaf (green) stencil on the first card.

On the second card I used the Zig Zag (orange) stencil.

This new tool makes putting ribbon on cards, layouts, altered projects, etc... so easy and the end result is absolutely beautiful.

All these tools, attachments, stencils, needles, fibers and ribbons can be purchased at Scrap'n With Flair along with the current SWF November Kit.

Until next time.

More Projects

Hello Everyone,

Here are some more projects I made with the kit from Scrap'n With Flair.  Just to be clear, the paper I used was from the kit but the flowers and other embellishments were not in the kit but you can purchase them from Scrap'n With Flair's online store.  The wooden base and crackle medium were purchased from Michaels, I used paint that I purchased at Dollarama and I had the ribbon edging in my stock.  If you would like details on how I made the wall plaques, leave me a comment.

If you are interested in making the other 3 projects, where everything came from the kit except for the cardstock, that I posted pictures of on October 20th, you can purchase your kit here.  There is a limited number of kits so purchase yours early to ensure you get one.

I still have lots of stuff left from this kit so I am going to keep on creating and posting my creations.  Keep on checking back to see what other treasures I create.

Just a reminder that the next kit's sneak peak will be on November 20, 2011.

Have a wonderful day.

October Kit Reveal Day!

Hello everyone,
It is kit reveal time!  Our October kit had a tonne of Christmas paper, stickles, embellishments, ribbons, buttons, brads, flowers, chipboard shapes, die cuts, etc...  It was an awesome kit to work with and make creations out of.  I still have a lot of products left and will continue to make other projects to post.

My first creation is a layout of my daughter at 18 months.
Everything used in this layout came in the kit except for the red cardstock.

My second creation, which I absolutely LOVE how it turned out, is a Christmas ball decoration.
Everything used was from the kit except for the actual Christmas ball (Michaels) and the green flowers along the bottom of the decoration.  I also sprayed the entire ball with Perfect Pearls Mist (gold) which along with the flowers can be purchased from Scrap'n With Flair.

The last project I made is a Christmas Box.

I used the stickles on the ornaments to add some sparkle.  Again, everything used in this project was from the kit except for the cardstock.  Scrap'n With Flair sells cardstock, I just used what I had.

I have started some other projects with the remaining products I have in the kit and will post pictures of my creations when they are completed.  So, keep checking back.  You can also see the projects made by the rest of the design team for Scrap'n with Flair by clicking on their blogs.

The kits go on sale today and there are only 10 so shop early to get one.  You can get your kit from Scrap'n With Flair.  The next kit sneak peak will be on November 15th.  A little secret, I have been told there will be brand new to the store products.  I am so excited to see what is in the next kit and to make my treasures!

I would love any feedback (good, bad or other) so I have decided to run a contest.  From now, October 20th to November 20th (when the next kit is revealed), if you leave a comment on any of my past or current posts, your name will be entered in a draw to win a prize.  You will get one entry for every comment you make.

Also, I am having another giveaway.  Once I hit 20 followers, everyone's names will go in a draw to win a prize so please become a follower and tell your friends to follow as well.

Have a wonderful day!

New Scrap'n With Flair Challenge

Hello everyone,
Well it is challenge time again from Scrap'n With Flair.  Here are the new challenge requirements.  You can also go to Leanne's blog.

October Challenge
Ok Ladies, here it is, our October challenge. I kept it simple again. There are only 2 requirements. :) Make a layout, card, altered project that uses the following items:

1. Corrugated Cardboard Your entire project doesn’t need to be made of this material just use a piece of it. I have seen some FANTASTIC artwork created using corrugated cardboard. There are endless things you can do to it to incorporate it into your project. Rip it, tear it, distress it, paint it, white wash it, ink it, cover it, die cut it, you name it!!! LOL

2. Use the colors orange and red. I happen to absolutely love the fall colors so I thought why not incorporate them into a challenge….it is also fitting considering the fall season is upon us.

These are the only two requirement. Told ya it was easy peasy. :D

This Challenge is open from October 4th until Tuesday October 18th at 5:00 pm Central Standard time. I was just informed by DH that we will switch to Mountain Standard Time in November sometime….HUH?? good grief…LOL who would have thought that time could be so complicated. LOL

I will make the draw at around 7 pm on the 18th. One of my DT members suggested that I make the draw into a quick YouTube video so everyone can see the draw sooooo that is what I will do.

Alright that is it for now….have fun with this one!!!! I am excited to see what you come up with. :0)

Ohhh almost forgot. You can email pictures of your entries to info@scrapnwithflair.com I will post there here on the blog and also on Facebook.

Here is a picture of the prize and Leanne will be doing a youtube video so stay tuned for that.

The design team has also been requested to make something for the challenge so stay tuned for my creation.  I cannot wait to see all of your creations!

I will also be posting other projects using products from Scrap'n With Flair's online store over the next couple of days to weeks and hopefully will continue to post more often.

Have a great day!

Bohn Reunion 2011

On the weekend of July 15 to 17, 2011, I attended, with all my family, the Bohn family reunion (my mother's side) at Shell Lake, Memorial Lake Campgrounds.  The event was organized and put together by my Auntie Susan's family (they are in the green).  Big thanks to all the family members, especially Kathleen and Jacqueline, for a wonderful time.  It is an absolutely beautiful place which I would suggest everyone to go camping at.

There are 7 siblings in the family and all members of the extended family were there. All 77 of us!!!

My family is in red.

For the reunion, each family was asked to bring an item(s) for the auction and all the money raised would be used to pay for the expenses of the reunion.

I had just attended my first Scrap 'n with Flair design team meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, where we had decided on the Bo Bunny Timepiece paper line to create projects with and I knew, as soon as I saw the line, exactly what I was going to do.  Nothing like leaving things to the last minute.

I created 2 frames for the auction.

The first frame I created, I put a picture of my grandparents, the ones who started everything, in it. I received a lot of great compliments from the family, especially the aunties. I was absolutely shocked when it sold for $120.
The products I used from Scrap 'n with Flair were:
Bo Bunny Timepiece paper line
KAISERCRAFT Lilac Leaves
Prima Flowers Petticoat Col Lady Time
Prima Flowers Softees Collection Mariella
Diamond Stickles - to add sparkle to the flowers
various coordinating textured cardstock
The antiqued copper pieces and ribbon are from Close To My Heart.
The word LOVE is an embellishment I bought from Michaels.

The second frame I created did not have a picture in it but was meant for the buyer to put a picture from the reunion in it. This one sold for $50. Amazing!
The products I used from Scrap 'n with Flair were:
Bo Bunny Timepiece paper line
KAISERCRAFT Elm Tree
Prima Flowers Petticoat Col Lady Time
Prima Flowers Softees Collection Mariella
Prima Flowers Aire Collection
Diamond Stickles - to add sparkle to the flowers
various coordinating textured cardstock
The chipboard word FAMILY with the ribbon and pearls on it are all from Close To My Heart.

It was a wonderful, beautiful, extremely fun weekend had by all.  It was great to see everyone and catch up on everyone's lives.  The next one has already been planned for August 2013 and our family is putting it on at Shell Lake again.  I need to figure out what to make for the next one.  I think I have a little time to think something up!
